Though this copy looks quite similar to the first US edition and is also published by Dodd, Mead, & Company in 1971, the lack of price on the dust jacket helps mark it as a book club edition. Very Good condition with some rubbing and wear to dust jacket, which is now protected in a mylar covering. This is the last novel Christie wrote about Miss Marple, though not the last one published.
In utter disbelief, Miss Marple read the letter addressed to her from the recently deceased Mr. Rafiel—an acquaintance she had met briefly on her travels. He had left instructions for her to investigate a crime after his death. The only problem was, he had failed to tell her who was involved or where and when the crime had been committed.
